Institutions Eat Local!
September 19 to 23, 2022

 

This week, the Institutions Eat Local! event is back for a 4th edition!

Whether at your daycare, school, Cegep, university, healthcare establishment, company cafeteria or workplace, join us in celebrating local foods from September 19 to 23, 2022!

Institutions across Quebec are invited to organize events in their community to promote the importance of discovering, preparing and sampling Quebec products! Last year, more than a hundred institutions joined the movement and nearly 19,000 people took part in the event.

 

Your institution participated in the event?

It is now time to complete the “Activity Description” Form to tell us about the activity that was organized within your establishment. In addition to a chance to win a participation prize, the information collected will promote and enhance the actions you have organized. Contest winners will be announced in early October.

*Please note that many questions are similar to the registration form (completed before the event). These same questions need to be answered again. Deadline to enter the competition: October 2, 2022.

This event is developed by Aliments du Québec au menu – Institution (developed by Aliments du Québec and Équiterre with the support of the Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation du Québec – MAPAQ) in partnership with Défi 100% local.

Qui peut participer?

L’événement s’adresse à tous les établissements institutionnels privés ou publics :

  • Services de garde à la petite enfance (CPE et garderies)
  • Établissements d’enseignement primaire et secondaire
  • Établissements d’enseignement collégial et universitaire
  • Établissements de santé
  • Milieux de travail
  • Organismes à but non lucratif, communautaire ou de promotion de saines habitudes de vie
  • Entreprises, fournisseurs ou distributeurs.

Well known as a host, columnist, author and actress, Valérie will visit a few participating institutions the week of the event to discover the activities organized. Be on the lookout, she may be passing through your establishment!

Comment participer au concours ?

Les établissements intéressés à participer au concours devront compléter le formulaire Bilan de l’action réalisée* détaillant l’activité qui aura été développée dans le cadre de cet événement. En plus de courir la chance de gagner un prix de participation**, les informations recueillies permettront de promouvoir et valoriser les actions que vous avez organisées.

*Veuillez noter que plusieurs questions sont similaires au formulaire d’inscription (complété avant l’événement). Il est nécessaire de répondre à nouveau à ces mêmes questions.

Who can participate in the event?

This event was intended for all institutional establishments, both private and public:

  • Early childhood services (childcare centres and daycares)
  • Primary and secondary schools
  • Cegeps and universities
  • Healthcare establishments
  • Workplaces
  • Various organizations (NPOs, recreational or community organizations, organizations promoting healthy lifestyles)
  • Companies, suppliers or distributors

What activities to do?

During the last editions, more than 300 actions of all kinds were carried out throughout Quebec:

  • Harvest menu, culinary workshop and tasting of little-known products: it’s easy to share and discover with your colleagues or friends a meal made up of Quebec products!
  • Thematic activity, colouring, game and fun animation to introduce children to Quebec foods!
  • Pop-up market, U-pick food, meeting with a producer: forge links with producers and artisans in your region!
  • Training, conference, workshop: this is an opportunity to consider ways to improve what we eat daily and increase the supply of local products all year!
